DARTMOUTH, Mass. -Â Four scored in doubles figures as the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's basketball team took care of business, 75-64, against Husson in the first round of the LaFrance Hospitality Tournament Saturday night at the Tripp Athletic Center.

Jordan Moretti led the Corsairs (2-0) with 20 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Junior

Kaylin Zalewski had 15 points and seven boards, grad student
Caroline Wilson registered 10 points and freshman
Melanie DeMeo posted 10 points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Husson drops to 0-1 after its first contest of the year.
A fastbreak layup and a three from Wilson gave the Corsairs a quick, 5-0, lead with 8:34 on the clock in the first. Husson would stay in the game, knotting the score at nine, but back-to-back layups from Andrews, a three by Zalewski and a basket from Moretti brought the score to 18-9 with 2:36 left in the first. An and-one from Moretti made it a 21-12 lead after the first 10 minutes of action.
DeMeo scored inside and knocked down a three to open the second and extend the lead to 26-14 with 9:06 until the half. Husson hung around and closed the half on a 24-15 run to cut its deficit to 41-38 at the break.
A Husson 3-pointer evened the score at 41 to open the third and the Eagles would eventually take a 49-47 advantage with 5:26 to go in the third. Wilson's three sparked a 14-2 run that was capped off by a DeMeo triple to give the Corsairs a 61-52 advantage after three quarters.
Moretti, Zalewski and Wilson kept the run going to start the fourth to extend the lead to 66-54 with 5:45 to go. Mortetti and Zalewski then knocked down 3-balls to put it away in the final minutes.
UMass Dartmouth faces Bowdoin at home for the LaFrance Hospitality Championship on Sunday at 2 p.m.
