Kylie Dias found the back of the cage twice and added an assist in the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth field hockey team's 4-0, season opening, victory at Dean College Thursday afternoon. Senior

Maggie McCafferty added goals as well for the Corsairs (1-0), while sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Trombly recorded her first-career shutout to keep the Bulldogs (0-1) at bay.
UMass Dartmouth outshot Dean 25-1 and 16-1 on goal and had 15 penalty corners compared to none for the home team. Dias, McCafferty and sophomore
Harley Hodge each added assists for the road team.
The Corsairs dominated from start to finish. It only took 4:39 for Dias Amaral to score the first goal of the season off an assist from Dias. UMassDÂ finished the first quarter with eight shots and limited Dean to zero in the first quarter.
UMass Dartmouth expanded its lead just over three minutes into the second. This time Dias went unassisted for her first goal of the year at the 18:32 mark. Five minutes later it was McCafferty, who took advantage of a penalty corner from Hodge to make it a 3-0 advantage.
Dean's first shot came in the third quarter, but Trombly was there to make the stop and keep the shutout in tact.
 After a pair of penalty corners to start the fourth, Dias connected for her second goal of the game from McCafferty with 50:27 on the clock to finish things off.
UMass Dartmouth stays on the road for a contest at Simmons on Saturday at 11 a.m.
