PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth field hockey team suffered an 11-1 loss at Plymouth State Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore
Jenna Carvalho scored the lone goal for the Corsairs (2-4, 0-2 LEC), while the Panthers (5-2, 3-0 LEC) had five different scorers, led by junior Taylor Healy's five goals and four assists.
Carvalho gave UMass Dartmouth a 1-0 advantage at the 4:45 mark of the first half.
Plymouth State scored 32 seconds later to even the score. The Panthers scored again at the end of the first to make it a 2-1 game.
UMass Dartmouth's defense stepped up in the second quarter, holding the Panthers to one goal, as the score was 3-1 at halftime.
Scoring came fast and furious for the Plymouth State in the second half. The Panthers scored five goals in the third quarter and added three more in the fourth.

Hannah Trombly made a career-high 15 saves.
UMass Dartmouth remains on the road for a contest at Eastern Connecticut on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
