New London, Conn. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team was bested, 6-0, by Coast Guard on Tuesday. The Corsairs drop to 0-5 while the Bears earn their first win of the season to advance to 1-2-1.
Coast Guard jumped ahead early, going into halftime leading 4-0 over UMass Dartmouth. Sophomore Aki Freeman scored two of the goals for the Bears in the first half. Coast Guard kicked off the second half with two more scores to separate further to 6-0.

Cam Freitas had an opportunity to score in the 88
th minute that was stopped by Coast Guard's sophomore goalkeeper John Putnam. The Corsairs were out-shot by the Bears, 10-, in the 6-0 defeat.
UMass Dartmouth men's soccer returns to the pitch on Monday, September 18. They will host the Owls of Westfield State University. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00PM.
