DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Powered by a goal in each quarter, the Lasell University field hockey team defeated UMass Dartmouth in non-conference action on Tuesday evening. With the 4-1 victory, the Lasers move to 8-0 on the season, while the Corsairs are now 2-7 overall.
The visitors opened the game's scoring at the 8:48 mark as senior forward Sheridan Blaha ripped a shot from high in the circle that went past the reach of the Corsairs keeper.
Lasell made it a 2-0 advantage in the second quarter as sophomore midfielder Jacquelyn Scopa sent another shot past UMassD's

The Corsairs answered at 54:03 as a fantastic pass through traffic by junior forward

Despite the momentum, the Corsairs were unable to hold off the Lasers, as just two minutes later Scops notched her second of the contest. Off a nice feed in front by sophomore forward Halleen Seguin, Scopa tipped it in on the left side for the final score of the game.
Lasers starter Courtney Tello recorded two saves over 45:00 to pick up her eighth win of the season, while Abby Boudreau came on in relief, making one save.
For the Corsairs, Trombly posted six stops in goal, while rookie defender
