KEENE, N.H. – After a defensive showcase early on, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Keene State in Keene, N.H. on Saturday. The Corsairs dip to 2-4-3 overall and 0-2-1 in LEC play, while the Owls improve to 5-2-3 overall and 2-0-2 against conference opponents.
The first half was largely scoreless, before a 43
rd-minute score gave the Owls a 1-0 advantage going into the intermission. The defensive battle continued for the first 15 minutes of the second half, before Keene State added another score off the boot of senior Kendall Healey in the 65
th minute. The Owls added one final score in the closing minutes, as they went on to win the contest 3-0 over the Corsairs.
UMass Dartmouth had two decent scoring attempts, with shots-on-target coming from 5
th year senior

Grace Conti was in net for the full 90 minutes and made four saves. Keene State got off 10 total shot attempts with seven going on-target. KSC sophomore keeper Sonia Moritz played the full time in goal and made two saves.
UMass Dartmouth women's soccer team returns to the pitch on Tuesday, Oct. 3, when they travel to Bristol, R.I. for a bout with the Hawks of Roger Williams. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
