DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The UMass Dartmouth women's soccer team was bested by the Owls of Keene State College on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 3-0 during Little East Conference action. The Corsairs fall to a 0-3-0 record in league play while the Owls earn their first conference win to improve to 1-2-1.
Senior
Kaitlyn Nguyen opened the contest with an early shot on frame that Owls goalkeeper Riley Andriski stopped for her first save of the game. Around the eight-minute mark, respectively, the Corsairs almost found the back of the net as senior Caroline McAulliffe ripped a shot that rebounded off the crossbar. Sophomore
Madison Depina quickly collected the rebound before firing the ball on target to force another save from Andriski.

Grace Conti, earning her fifth start in net this season, posted her first stop of the afternoon to deny a shot by Bryn Dickinson. Shortly after, the Owls took a 1-0 lead in the game with a long-range goal by Elizabeth Tschudin at the 17:46 mark.

Anna Keller that Andriski was able to save. Conti registered two late stops before the break to keep the visitors off the scoreboard, but Keene State headed into halftime with the one goal advantage.
Tschudin and Dickinson each recorded early strikes for the Owls to open the second half of the game that both were off target. Junior defender
Veronica Bock had a scoring opportunity midway through the half, however her attempt went just high right of the net.
Sophomore
Adriana Adames lasered a shot on-goal that Andriski denied approaching the final 15 minutes of the contest. Keene State sealed the game with late goals by Joclynn Tyler and Dickinson to earn their first conference win by a final score of 3-0.
Five different Corsairs posted shots on target in the loss with Keller, Nguyen, and Adames each recording two shot attempts apiece. Three Owls found the back of the net for Keene State with Dickinson notching a team-high four shots.
In net, Conti picked up the loss after registering fours saves and allowing three goals following 90 minutes of play. Her Owl counterpart made five total stops on the afternoon to secure the shutout victory.
UMass Dartmouth are back at home for their next match hosting the University of Hartford on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The non-conference tilt is slated to begin at 6:30 pm from Cressy Field.
