BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team fell on the road to Little East Conference (LEC) opponent the University of New England on Saturday afternoon. The Corsairs are now 0-8 on the season while the Nor'easters secure their sixth win to improve to 6-1 overall.
Junior
Isabella Gerardi picked up second-place finishes in both the 1,000-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly events. She clocked in at 1:15.90 in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 40.32 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Junior
Kylie Winer also collected a pair of second place finishes for the Corsairs. She posted a time of 6:06.81 in the 500-yard freestyle and checked in at 2:13.00 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Sophomore
Skye Peters earned second overall in the 50-yard butterfly event, clocking in at 32.05 for the Corsairs. She also secured fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle event.
In the 50-yard backstroke, first year
Emiyah Setalsingh finished fourth overall with a time of 34.00 flat. She also earned a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke and secured fifth place in the 50-yard fly with a time of 33.58.
Graduate student
Savannah Platt took fourth place in the 50-yard breaststroke for UMass Dartmouth posting a time of 39.64.
Sophomore
Sam King collected a pair fo fifth place finishes at the meet. King earned fifth overall in both the 50-yad freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
UMass Dartmouth will host the Anchorwomen of Rhode Island College on Saturday, Feb. 1 for their Senior Day meet starting at 12:00 p.m. from the Tripp Athletic Center.
