PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its weekly awards report featuring sophomore
Shane Cueman of the UMass Dartmouth field hockey team who garnered LEC Goalie of the Week honors. It marks the second LEC Goalie of the Week award for Cueman this season.
Cueman capped off a tough 0-2 week for UMass Dartmouth by recording 37 total saves in the cage. She faced 76 total shots across two games to earn a 48.7 save percentage. The sophomore goalie leads the league in saves with 214 on the year and also in saves per game averaging a conference-best 15.29.
On Wednesday at Johnson & Wales, Cueman recorded 17 saves against the Wildcats in a 5-0 road loss. The Glen Ridge native wrapped up the week by recording 20 stops at Plymouth State in a 4-0 conference defeat. It marked her third game of the season with 20-or-more saves and she finished the Little East tilt with an 83.3 save percentage.
Cueman and the Corsairs are on the road for their next non-conference game at Regis College (Mass.) on Tuesday, October 21 scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start time.
