DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The UMass Dartmouth women's swimming team hosted Little East Conference opponent Rhode Island College on Saturday afternoon for their Senior Day meet at the Tripp Athletic Center. The Corsairs came up short, 136-101, against the Anchorwomen in their final regular season meet of the 2024-25 campaign. During the meet, UMass Dartmouth honored their one fifth year swimmer
Savannah Platt for her four years as a Corsair.
Junior
Isabella Gerardi captured a pair of first-place finishes for UMass Dartmouth in both the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 200-yard butterfly. She clocked in at 21:52.91 to win the 1,650-yard freestyle and finished the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:45.84. She also collected a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle posting a time of 1:08.62.
Junior
Kylie Winer also secured two first-place finishes on Saturday, earning her first win in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:17.37. She went on to finish first in the 500-yard freestyle event clocking in at 6:03.61.
First year
Emiyah Setalsingh secured first overall in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:40.10 for the Corsairs. She also collected a pair of second-place finishes in both the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly events.
In the 100-yard individual medley, sophomore
Skye Peters finished first overall posting a time of 1:10.21. She also went on to finish second in the 50-yard freestyle as well as the 100-yard freestyle.
Platt secured second place in the 100-yard backstroke event clocking in at 1:17.01 on her Senior Day. She also collected third place in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:19.95 for the Corsairs.
Sophomore
Sam King earned her best finish of the day in the 50-yard freestyle event clocking in at 28.46 to secure third overall. She also finished fourth overall in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:21.27.
UMass Dartmouth will prepare for the 2025 Little East Championship starting on Friday, February 14th.
