Three Corsairs Garner All-LEC Team Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) released the 2025 Softball All-Conference rosters featuring three Corsairs from the UMass Dartmouth softball team, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Senior outfielder Kinu Takasugi and junior third baseman RaeLynn Perregaux were each named to the All-LEC First Team while first year pitcher Edy Crawford was tabbed on the All-Rookie Team.
 
Takasugi garnered her second consecutive All-LEC First Team recognition after another impressive season with the Corsairs. In 34 games played including 33 starts, Takasugi finished the 2025 campaign with 38 total hits, 24 runs scored, and eight runs batted in. The veteran outfielder concluded the season with a .330 batting average, good for second best on the squad, after 115 total at-bats to go along with a .389 on-base percentage and a .365 slugging percentage. Takasugi led the team for the second straight year in stolen bases with 20 on the season, tied for fifth overall in the Little East. The right fielder recorded 49 total putouts featuring one assist for a .962 fielding percentage in 2025.
 
The South Pasadena native posted nine games this season with two or more hits featuring season-high three hits on Apr. 4 against VTSU Castleton and Apr. 14 at Plymouth State University. Takasugi also saw a season long 11 game hit-streak starting on Apr. 14 and ending on May 1 at the University of Southern Maine. She tallied two runs batted in on Mar. 10 against North Central College during THE Spring Games tournament. She also recorded five games with two stolen bases in 2025 including back-to-back games on Mar. 12 versus Fontbonne University and Ursinus College.
 
Perreagux collects her first career All-LEC First Team honors following an outstanding 2025 campaign. The third baseman lead the team with her career-high .443 batting average after registering 54 total hits on 122 at-bats this season. Perregaux also topped the team statistics with a .656 slugging percentage as well as a .474 on-base percentage, both marking career-highs for the junior infielder. Additionally, she posted career-highs after tallying 30 runs batted in and 18 total doubles in 2025. Perregaux finished the season with 23 runs scored, two home runs, one triple, and five stolen bases after starting in all 38 contests for the Corsairs. On the defensive side, Perregaux owned a .911 fielding percentage after making 42 putouts and a career-high 111 assists. She also lead the team with nine total double plays.
 
In the Little East, Perregaux lead the conference with 18 doubles on the season while  ranking second overall with 54 hits, 111 putouts, and nine double plays. She also sat third overall with a .656 slugging percentage while her .443 batting average and 30 runs batted in ranked fifth overall in the league.
 
On Mar. 25 at Brandeis University, Perregaux recorded career-highs with four hits along with five runs batted in to defeat the Judges, 12-4, in game one of the series. She recorded 15 games with two or more hits highlighted by a 14-game hit streak starting on Apr. 4 against VTSU Castleton and ending on Apr. 29 versus Keene State College. On Mar. 13 against Lasell University, the Torrington native notched a career-high three doubles after going 3-for-4 at the plate in a 15-0 triumph over the Lasers.
 
Crawford had an impressive debut season for UMass Dartmouth after appearing in 29 games featuring 23 starts in 2025. The rookie pitcher threw 135.1 total innings and owned a 3.10 ERA to wrap up the season with an 11-11 record in the circle. Crawford also pitched 15 total complete games with three shutouts and one save. The rookie right-hander owned a .268 batting average against and posted 44 total strikeouts in her first year as a Corsair. In her collegiate debut on the mound, Crawford made a statement after posting a season-high eight strikeouts against North Central University on Mar. 8 to earn her first career win and shutout by a final score of 8-0. Crawford kicked started a six-game winning streak on Apr. 19 at Eastern Connecticut State University and finished on May 1 at Southern Maine.
 
In the conference, Crawford topped the Little East with 23 starts on the mound. She also ranked second overall with 15 complete games and tied for second with three shutouts.  She also sat third in the conference with 135.1 innings pitched. The Exeter native ranked eighth overall with her 3.10 ERA while her 11 wins tied for sixth most in the league.
