DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its Division III Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 season and five UMass Dartmouth student-athletes have been recognized, along with All-Academic Team honors for the Corsairs. The squad has now 53 honorees since the 2014 season.
Among the individuals honored for the 2024-25 season were graduate students
Emma Collings and
Kayli Langan, along with rising juniors
Eren Adamiak,
Saige Croce and
Maddie Gonzalez. It marks the second straight individual honor for Croce and Gonzalez, who were honored last season.
Collings, an All-LEC Second Team honoree from Marion, Mass., capped off her first season as Corsair with the best singles record on the team, 9-3, primarily coming from the No. 3 position. She also concluded the year with a 4-3 Little East Conference (LEC) mark in singles play. In doubles action, Collings finished the season with an 8-4 overall record, good for second best on the squad, including a 5-2 mark against league opponents.
Langan, who hails from Lakewood, Colo., owned a 4-3 overall singles record for the Corsairs in 2024-25. Recording a 2-2 mark in Little East play, she notched a 1-0 record from four and five, while going 2-3 from the sixth spot. In doubles action, Langan was 1-3 overall – all from the third flight – including a 1-2 mark in LEC action.
Adamiak, a native of Tyngsboro, Mass., appeared in both singles and doubles for the Corsairs last season. She owned a 1-4 overall mark in singles action, going 0-1 in LEC play. Adamiak had a 1-2 record from the sixth flight. Additionally, she went 0-2 in doubles action on the season – all from the third flight.
Gonzalez, a two-time All-LEC Team selection out of Pawcatuck, Conn., appeared in 15 matches for the Corsairs during the 2024 season. She owned a 6-7 record in singles play, all at No. 1 singles, along with a team-best 10-5 doubles overall record. In conference play, Gonzalez owned a 4-3 singles mark in addition to 5-2 doubles record against league opponents.
Croce, a native of Willow Grove, Pa., played in 15 of the 16 matches for the Corsairs during the 2024 campaign. She owned a 5-10 record in singles action, good for fourth best on the team, while playing primarily in the No. 5 slot. She secured three doubles victories from the No. 2 position including a pair of wins with partner
Maddie Gonzalez and one win with sophomore
Sofia Beltran.
UMass Dartmouth posted an 8-8 overall record in 2024-25, going 4-4 in Little East play. Earning the sixth seed in the LEC Tournament, the Corsairs shouldered a tough loss to #3 Bridgewater State in the conference quarterfinals.
