NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The UMass Dartmouth women's swimming team competed in a quad-meet hosted by Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon featuring Western New England University and Regis College (Mass.).
Senior
Kylie Winer took first overall in the 100-yard breaststroke on Saturday after posting a career best time of 1:14.00. She also competed in the 200-yard breaststroke clocking in at 2:42.21 to secure second place out of nine swimmers. Winer capped off the day with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:30.30.
Senior
Isabella Gerardi captured another first-place finish for the Corsairs in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:54.51. The veteran swimmer also collected a pair of third-place finishes in both the 1,650-yard freestyle (22:21.22) and 100-yard butterfly (1:12.21).
In the 500-yard freestyle event, first year
Abby Fernandes finished first overall with a time of 6:08.08 for UMass Dartmouth. Fernandes secured a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle after clocking in at 2:11.44 before earning third overall in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.75.
Graduate student
Grace Nguyen had a solid performance after posting three sixth place finishes at the meet for UMass Dartmouth. She produced personal best times both the 50-freestyle (36.37) as well as the 100-yard backstroke (1:36.88).
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Corsairs sealed first place after clocking in with a time of 2:03.14 featuring members Nguyen, Fernandes, Gerardi, and Winer.

"It was a great way to start the 2026 portion of the season," noted head coach
Michael Kroll following the meet. "We've been putting in a lot work the past two weeks, and it was good to get up and race."

rd traveling to Regis College (Mass.) for their next competition.
