DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The UMass Dartmouth field hockey team enjoyed a 2-0 week, receiving game-winning performances from both
Amelia Keeler and
Sophia Bouffard.
In a monday matchup at home against WestConn, the Corsairs found themselves down 2-1 late in the game.
Amelia Keeler would be the one to score with for the Corsairs, sending the game into overtime.Â
A potent back line which consisted of
Sophia Bouffard stopped the Wolves from scoring in both the fourth and overtime quarters. The senior would save two shots from entering the back of the net, and allow teammates
Carly Wang and
Sam Gacioch to partner up for the game winning goal.
Later in the week, Keeler would score the first goal of the game for the Corsairs against UMass Boston.Â
Keeler went on to score the Corsairs fourth goal of the game, which was a pass from
Madison Goldstein, who tallied her first collegiate point.
The sophomore hailing from Greenfield, Mass. tripled her season goal total from last season, and added her first career point.
Bouffard ended the week campaign with four defensive saves, which moved her up into the top five all-time in defensive saves from a D3 player.
The South Burlington native not only leads the entire division in defensive saves at the moment, she leads ALL collegiate divisons.Â
The Corsairs are back in action this Tuesday to face the Hawks of Roger Williams University. Game time is set for 7pm.Â
