DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their honorees in women's basketball for Academic All-District and four UMass Dartmouth student-athletes were selected. Seniors
Melanie DeMeo,
Cristina Negron and
Kasey Oliver, along with sophomore
Elizabeth Gresian were all recognized for their work on the court and in the classroom.
DeMeo, a guard out of Mahopac, N.Y., posted a 3.87 cumulative grade point average as a Psychology major. A starter in all 27 games for the Corsairs this season, she averaged 14.2 points per game, going 120-of-321 (.374) from the floor. In addition to sporting a team-best .886 (101-of-114) from the free throw line, DeMeo also went 43-of-116 (.371) from three-point range, while averaging a team-high 32.1 minutes per game. She recorded 82 rebounds for a 3.0 per game average, adding 64 assists, 24 steals and seven blocks.
In her outstanding career, DeMeo – a 2025-26 All-Little East Second Team selection – played in 110 games, including 82 as a starter. She averaged 8.27 points per game, going 303-of-807 from the floor. She also recorded 110 three-pointers (33.4%) and notched 194 free throws for an 85.5%. DeMeo amassed 223 assists, adding 85 steals and 15 blocks over her career with 285 rebounds in that time.
Negron, a guard who hails from Easthampton, Mass., recorded a perfect 4.00 grade point average as a Psychology and Crime & Justice Studies double major. Appearing in all 27 games, including 21 as a starter, she averaged 6.0 points per game, going 56-of-183 from the field (.306). Negron recorded 43 three-pointers on 140 attempts (.307) and averaged 2.9 rebounds per contest. She added 16 assists and 13 steals with one block on the season.
During her three-year career for the Corsairs, Negron posted 171 points with 85 total rebounds over 50 games played. Making 21 starts, she averaged 15.5 minutes per game, adding 20 assists, a block and 15 steals in that time.
Oliver, a guard from Dartmouth, Mass., owned a 3.57 cumulative GPA as a Psychology major. Starting all 27 games, she averaged 5.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. From the floor, she went 40-of-126 (.317), adding seven three-pointers while going 53-of-70 (.757) from the free throw line. Oliver led the team with 65 assists and 51 steals, recording 92 total rebounds. Amongst the Little East's best, she ranked ninth overall in steals per game (1.9) and 13th in assists per contest (2.4).
In her three-year career with the Corsairs, Oliver played in 75 total games, recording 222 points with 149 rebounds in that time. She posted 99 total assists, adding 67 steals and two blocks in that time.
Gresian, a guard out of West Warwick, R.I., has a 3.74 cumulative grade point average as a Crime & Justice Studies major. Playing in all 27 games this season, including 26 as a starter, she averaged 3.0 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per contest – which ranked second on the team. Gresian went 32-of-93 from the floor (.344), adding seven three pointers on the season. Averaging 20.0 minutes per game, she posted 39 assists and 32 steals, while ranking second on the squad with 12 blocks.
UMass Dartmouth concluded its 2025-26 season with an 11-16 overall record, going 7-9 overall in Little East play. The Corsairs earned the fifth-seed in the LEC Tournament, defeating UMass Boston, 80-70 in the quarterfinals, before falling to top-seed and eventual champion, Southern Maine in the semifinals.
