WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Four student-athletes were in action on Friday for the UMass Dartmouth men's outdoor track & field team at the F.I.R.E. Meet at Williams College. The Corsairs were paced by a victory in the discus throw and two personal bests in the track events.
Sophomore
Ancil Alexander claimed victory in the discus throw, posting a throw of 53.73 meters (176' 3") for his sixth win of the season in the event. Rookie Chalais Saintil took fourth overall with a distance of 46.10 meters (151' 3") a throw that ranks fourth all-time in program history.
In the track events, junior
Ethan Sylvia ran to 44th overall in the 5,000-meters with a personal best time of 15:29.14. Senior
Colin Ozturk was not far behind, crossing the line in 48th overall with a personal best mark of his own of 15:35.65.
The Corsairs are back in action on Saturday with five events being contested throughout the day. The first event for UMD will begin at 10am in the shot put.
