Sullivan and Engelbert Lead The Way In Season Opening Win

Box Score DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth field hockey team soared to a season opening win against Elms 8-0. It was an all-out freshman attack led by Kendall Sullivan (3-goals) and Abbie Engelbert (2 goals).

Sullivan kicked off her collegiate career with a trio of goals in the second quarter of the game. Her three goals all came in less than three minutes as she helped propel the Corsairs to a 4-0 lead going into halftime. 

Engelbert joined in on the fun in the second half, netting a two goals of her own. She ended her day with 13 shots on goal.

Senior captain Sam Gacioch scored the first goal of the game, which was also her first career goal. Gacioch also tacked on two assists to her statline. 

Brooke Lydon scored a goal and an assist during the win. 

Olivia Palm added an assist and took six total shots, all of which was on net. 

The Corsairs continue their home stretch this Saturday against Clark at 3:00 PM.
