Owls Clip Corsairs, 16-8

KEENE, N.H. – Sophomore Kathryn Gibb (Georgetown, Mass.) matched her season-high with three goals, but Keene State College raced out to a 5-0 advantage en route to a 16-8 decision over visiting University of Massachusetts Dartmouth this afternoon in a Little East Conference women's lacrosse contest at the Owl Athletic Complex.

Gibb registered her second hat trick of the season to pace the Corsairs (1-12, 0-4 LEC) offensive attack. Sophomore Kelly Kryzak (Salisbury, Mass.) and Catrina Longo (Billerica, Mass.) each found the back of the net twice. Gibb scooped up a eight ground balls, while also controlling nine draws for the visitors.

Freshman Erin Leblanc (Walpole, Mass.) stopped 11 shots in 60 minutes of action. She has reached double digits in saves eight times on the campaign.

Junior Kaitlin Nolan (Mahopac, N.Y.) scored six goals, including her 100th career marker, to power the Owls attack. Sophomore Taylor Graf (Hanover, Mass.) facilitated the attack with seven points on two goals and five assists.

Sophomore Alison Argio (Hingham, Mass.) turned aside four attempts in 47:53 minutes, while classmate Cheyenne Mata-Notel (East Hampton, N.Y.) made a save over the final 12:07 of regulation.

UMass Dartmouth will return to action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, when the Corsairs host Rhode Island College.
