Despite Southern Maine's 16 paint points in the third, the Corsairs held a 41-38 advantage at the start of the final 10 minutes.
With 4:40 remaining in the game, Castantini registered UMass Dartmouth's only 3-pointer of the contest to kick off a 10-4 run that UMass Dartmouth used to gradually up the lead and seal the win. Ronaghan scored 16 of her points in the final 20 minutes with half of her 10 offensive boards.
The Corsairs went 24-of-66 (36 percent) from the field on the game as Southern Maine shot 18-of-54 (33 percent). The difference came in second-chance points, with UMass Dartmouth registering 19 to Southern Maine's four on 21 offensive rebounds.
