How it Happened
The Corsairs' night of offense began with a tight score, until senior Kayla Kirby (Westport, Mass.) found a rhythm with her serve, leading UMass Dartmouth to nine straight points including three aces to build a 10-8 lead to 19-8. The visitors walked away with a 25-17 to set the pace.
UMass Dartmouth's attack percentage then only got higher, led by freshman Anita Sengara's (Vancouver, B.C.) 11 kills in the final two frames. All said, Sengara would finish with 13 kills on a .333 hitting percentage, committing only three errors on the match.
Setting up Sengara on the evening was classmate Jordan Rittberger (Huntington, N.Y.), who posted double-digit assists in all three sets to total 32 on match. Freshman libero Jillian Sykora (Waterford, Conn.) led the Corsairs with 12 digs, while Rittberger and Sengara combined for an additional 17. Kirby led all players with two solo blocks, tabulating six kills.

- Rittberger's 32 assists was easily a new career-high, bettering the 20 she posted in the season opener against Lesley on Sept. 3.
