Women's Lacrosse Drops 17-4 Little East Decision At Keene State

KEENE, N.H. --  Freshman Brigid Casey (Mont Vernon, N.H.) netted four goals and three assists for seven points to lead Keene State to a 17-4 Little East Conference women's lacrosse victory over UMass Dartmouth Saturday afternoon at the Owl Athletic Complex.

The host Owls (6-6, 3-2 LEC) scored the first nine goals of the contest and built a 15-1 advantage at the break, as sophomore Ali Daisy (Raynham, Mass.) tallied four times and added an assist for the winners.  Seniors Chelsea Lewis (Londonderry, N.H.) and Emily Parker (Gilford, N.H.) chipped in with two goals each for Keene State, which received a marker and two helpers off the stick of freshman Cadence Loos (Henniker, N.H.).  Freshman Isabella Mancini (Bellingham, Mass.) tallied twice and added an assist to finish with three points in the setback for the visiting Corsairs (4-10, 0-5 LEC), which received goals from senior Brooke Martel (Haverhill, Mass.) and junior Sam Muir (Sturbridge, Mass.).

Senior Anna O'Brien (Winchester, Mass.) picked up the win in goal with a seven-save effort for the Owls, while senior Kaitlyn Burchill (Bridgewater, Mass.) made 10 first half stops in the setback for UMass Dartmouth.  Junior Bridget Harrington (Florence, Mass.) recorded two second half saves for the visitors, as Keene State outshot the Corsairs by a 36-18 margin overall (29-11 on goal) for the contest.

UMass Dartmouth heads to Newport, R.I. on Monday evening to take on Salve Regina in a non-league outing beginning at 7:00 pm, while Keene State hosts Plymouth State in a Little East Conference clash on Tuesday evening at the Owl Athletic Complex that begins at 6:00 pm.
