Men's Cross Country Places Fifth at Keene State Invite

Solid efforts pace Corsairs on the road

KEENE, N.H. – It was a solid day of action on the course for the UMass Dartmouth men's cross country team, placing fifth of 21 teams at the 2024 Keene State Invitational. The Corsairs were paced by fifth-year Jake Paris, who was 12th overall.
 
Paris posted a time of 25:36.10 in the men's 8k event, while sophomore Joseph Stanton finished 37th overall with a mark of 26:54.10. Sophomore Cameron Thompson crossed the line in 27:03.70 – good for 48th overall, while rookie Jackson Caron notched a time of 27:04.30 for 50th overall.
 
Next to cross was senior Benjamin Davignon, who was 51st overall with a time of 27:05.00, while graduate student Davis Preston was 59th overall in 27:14.80. Junior Isaac Steele crossed in 68th overall with a mark of 27:32.00 to close out the team scoring.

The Corsairs return to action on Saturday, October 19 when they travel to the Connecticut College Invitational. The JV race begins at 11am, while the Varsity race is at 1pm.
