Women's Cross Country Takes 15th at Regionals

Corsairs finish strong with several top-100 finishers

CONTOOCOOK, N.H. – The UMass Dartmouth women's cross country team had a solid afternoon of racing on Saturday, taking 15th overall of 30 teams at the 2024 NCAA Division III East Regional Championships at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. The Corsairs were the second overall Little East team to finish on the afternoon, compiling 425 points.
 
Leading the way was graduate student Emma Steedman, who finished 52nd overall with a time of 23:49.61. Senior Bee Greenberg was next across, placing 76th with a time of 24:32.75. Junior Anya Aadland was the next finisher for UMass Dartmouth, crossing the line in 25:04.92 for 94th overall.
 
Sophomore Sarah Lynch was next to finish for the Corsairs, posting a mark of 25:20, while rookie Ashlyn Byrnes posted a time of 25:29.35 for 116th overall. Rounding out the action was senior Julia Latura, who had a mark of 26:47.23 to finish 153rd on the afternoon.
 
The Corsairs, who were the Little East Runners-Up this season, will now wait for selections to the 2024 NCAA Tournament, which will be announced this weekend.
