HOPKINTON, N.H. – The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's cross country squad finished 13
th overall as a team on Saturday at the 2025 NCAA Division III East Regionals held at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds. It marks the best team finish in program history at the East Regionals for UMass Dartmouth, improving two places from last year's East Regional performance.
Leading the pack for the Corsairs was junior captain
Sarah Lynch finishing in 62
nd place with a time of 23:38, marking a career best finish for Lynch at the East Regionals. Close behind was fellow classmate and captain
Sophie Owen checking in 72
nd place after clocking in at 23:53.

nd overall for UMass Dartmouth was first year
Alexah Pedder making her East Regional debut with a time of 24:20. Senior captain
Tori Schweitzer clocked in at 24:54 to secure 103
rd overall for the Corsairs. Sophomore
Ashlyn Byrnes finished with a time of 25:01, good for a new career best finish at East Regionals, in 110
th place.
Rounding out for the Corsairs on the day was sophomore Natalya Lavita clocking in at 25:02 to secure 111
th overall. First year
Elena Aponte made her East Regional debut for UMass Dartmouth finishing 115
th place with aa time of 25:11.
