WELLESLEY, Mass.– The UMass Dartmouth women's swimming team wrapped up the 2025 Little East Conference (LEC) Swimming & Diving Championships on Sunday from the Boston Sports Institute. The Corsairs finished 10
th overall out of 12 teams with 168 total points following the three day competition to edge Plymouth State University (163).
Junior
Isabella Gerardi captured 10
th place in the 1,650-yard freestyle after clocking in at 20:53.88. Gerardi also competed in the 200-yard butterfly consolation final clinching ninth place with a time of 2:38.73. First year
Emiyah Setalsingh finished close behind Gerardi in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:46.10 to secure 10
th overall.
Sophomore
Skye Peters took 10
th place for the Corsairs in the 100-yard individual medley consolation final posting a time of 1:07.95. Junior
Kylie Winer competed in the 200-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 2:43.27 to secure eighth overall.
In the relay event, UMass Dartmouth finished 11
th overall in the 400-yard freestyle relay after clocking in at 4:06.88.
"Overall, it was a great meet," said head coach
Michael Kroll after the conclusion of the LEC Championship. "We had great energy and effort all weekend. The entire team had great performances and everyone improved on the season with multiple lifetime best performances."
