DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Four Corsairs from the UMass Dartmouth women's basketball earned 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team honors for their efforts on the court and in the classroom. Graduate student

Whiteside collects her first CSC Academic All-District selection following an outstanding final season with UMass Dartmouth. Whitside, a WBCA Coaches' All-America Honorable Mention, finished the 2024-25 campaign with 406 points and averaged 15.0 points per game for the Corsairs. She also led the squad in field goals made (143), field goal percentage (54.0), free throws made (102), free throw attempts (128), total rebounds (216), offensive boards (67), defensive boards (149), average rebounds per game (8.0), and total blocked shots (35).
The veteran forward recorded six double-doubles this season along with eight games with 20-plus points. Through 27 games played including 26 starts, Whiteside has averaged a career-high 27 minutes played per game for the Corsairs. She dropped a season-high 30 points against Western Connecticut State University on Feb. 22. Whiteside powered UMass Dartmouth over Bates College on Jan. 25 with her 20 points and season-high 14 rebounds against the Bobcats in an 88-82 overtime thriller.
Andrews, a two-time Little East All-Conference honoree, also earns her first CSC Academic All-District selection. She has been a reliable leader for UMass Dartmouth throughout her five years wearing the Corsair uniform. Andrews was the only player during the 2024-25 season to play and start in all 28 games with 817 total minutes, averaging 29.2 minutes per game. She ended the year with 76 total steals, ranking 39
th overall in all Division III, while also ranking second overall on the squad in total points (349), field goals made (139), field goal attempts (276), field goal percentage (50.4), free throws made (69), total rebounds (156), total offensive boards (42), average rebounds per game (5.6), and total blocked shots (15).
The veteran captain also led the conference in steals per game (2.7) and total games played (28) during the 2024-25 campaign. Early in the season, Andrews became the 15
th player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-career point mark after dropping 20 points against Maine Maritime Academy in the 2024 LaFrance Hospitality Tournament finals.
McCauley capped off an impressive career with the Corsairs after transferring to the team for the 2024-25 season. She played all 28 games for UMass Dartmouth and scored 285 points, averaging 10.2 points per game, along with 60 rebounds, 22 assists, 20 steals, and four blocks. McCauley was a deep-range threat for the Corsairs clipping in a team-high 72 three-pointers (72-189) for a 38.1 shooting percentage from behind the arc. She also made 23-of-29 free throws for a 79.3 shooting percentage from the line.
The New Rochelle native posted 14 games with double-digit points highlighted by her career-high 32-point performance in the 2025 Little East Conference Championship game against the University of Southern Maine. Additionally, McCauley knocked down 10-of-13 shots from long range to for the most three-pointers made in a single game in all Division III.
DeMeo finished a strong season in her junior year with UMass Dartmouth scoring 156 points, averaging 5.6 points per game. DeMeo started in 27 of the 28 games played this season garnering a career-high 746 total minutes for an average of 26.6 minutes played per contest. She also posted a career-high 74 assists, averaging 2.6 assists per game, which also led the team in 2024-25. DeMeo ended the season with the best free throw percentage on the squad shooting 81.8 (27-33) from the charity stripe.
The junior guard scored a season-high 11 points at Eastern Connecticut State University highlighted by draining a 3-of-6 triples along with two boards and two assists. DeMeo hauled in a season-high six rebounds in back-to-back games starting on Nov. 23 against Brandeis University and Nov. 26 at Roger Williams University.
