Corsairs High Jump Crew Finishes Well at Open New Englands

Patrone finishes fourth; Jean-Michel, Videtta and Amin place 10th

BOSTON, Mass. – It was a high jump afternoon for the UMass Dartmouth men's track & field team at the 2025 Open New England Championships – hosted at the Reggie Lewis Center. The Corsairs saw all four of their high jumpers in action – who are currently the eighth-ranked squad in the event in Division III.
 
Leading the way was rookie Sean Patrone, who finished fourth overall with a height of 1.96 meters (6' 5"). It marks the fourth jump of the season at a height of 1.95 or better.
 
The Corsairs saw a tie for 10th with their other three jumpers as rookie Kenny Jean-Michel, junior Vincenzo Videtta and rookie Scott Amin all posted a mark of 1.91 meters (6' 3.75").
 
All four members of the high jump crew, along with several others from both the men's and women's squads, return to action on Saturday at the Tufts National Qualifier in Medford. The Corsairs will also see several others back in action at the Open New England Championships later in the day on Saturday.
