Women's Track & Field Concludes Action at DIII New Englands

Corsairs place 32nd behind solid efforts on day two

NEW LONDON, Conn. – It was a solid day of action on Saturday as the UMass Dartmouth women's track & field team concluded action at the 2025 Division III New England Championships – hosted by the Coast Guard Academy. The Corsairs compiled eight points, finishing 32nd overall in the field of 39 teams as two student-athletes posted Top 10 finishes, while two others were in the Top-15 on the day.
 
The shot put saw graduate student Kate Hockenbury post 15th overall with a throw of 11.69 meters (38' 4.25"), while rookie Olivia Seutter finished 21st overall with a mark of 11.00 meters (36' 1.25").
 
In the discus throw, Seutter had an outstanding effort, placing seventh overall with a personal record throw of 40.24 meters (132' 0").
 
Graduate student Emma Steedman led the way in the track events, posting third overall in the 3.000-meter Steeplechase with a personal record time of 11:29.11. Senior Bee Greenberg also had a strong showing, earning 15th overall with a time of 12:14.15.
 
The 4x800-meter relay saw seniors Anya Aadland and Julia Latura, along with rookie Sara Lopez and junior Tori Schweitzer post 20th overall with a combined time of 10:31.79 to conclude the day's action.
 
UMass Dartmouth will next be in action on May 9-10 as qualified individuals compete at the NEICAAA Open New England Championships, hosted by UMass Amherst.
