HARTFORD, Conn. – Powered by three finishes inside the top-18, the UMass Dartmouth men's cross country team posted fourth overall at the George Suitor Invitational – hosted by Trinity College at Wickham Park. The Corsairs compiled 103 points, trailing Tufts (34), Conn College (38) and Trinity (83).
Leading the way for the Corsairs was junior captain
Cameron Thompson, who recorded fourth overall with a time of 16:41.7. Classmate
Joseph Stanton was 17th overall with a time of 17:09.6, while senior
Ethan Sylvia crossed the line in 18th overall with a time of 17:11.5.
Sophomore
Connor Bruni ran to 42nd overall with a time of 17:52.7, while classmate Zack Schute finished in 18:13.9 – good for 53rd overall. Senior captain
Colin Ozturk finished in 18:19.1 for 55th, while sophomore
Jack Barbato posted a time of 18:33.7 for 67th overall.
Other top finishes included
The Corsairs are now idle until September 20 when they host the UMass Dartmouth Invitational at the Coach Robert Dowd Cross Country Course. The men's sub-varsity race begins at 10:30am, while the varsity race begins at 11:20am.
