PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Little East Conference (LEC) has announced is weekly honorees in women's track & field and UMass Dartmouth student-athlete
Eshaya Lauder has been recognized. She was tabbed as the Rookie Field Athlete of the Week following an outstanding effort in her collegiate debut.
Lauder, who hails from Manchester, N.H., took third overall in the long jump at the non-team scoring Wesleyan Winter Invite last weekend. She posted a New England Division III Provisional qualifying mark of 5.23 meters (17' 2"). It marked the second longest indoor jump in program history and has her currently ranked 62nd in NCAA Division III, 11th in New England DIII, sixth in the East Region and fourth in the Little East. Lauder also competed in the 60-meter dash on Saturday, finishing fourth overall with a time of 8.34.
UMass Dartmouth returns to action next weekend, heading to Brandeis University to compete in the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational on Saturday, January 17.Â
