Mya Amaral earned spots on the All-Little East Conference (LEC) teams as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Steen and Perry took home Second Team honors, while Amaral was named to the Third Team and Dias was selected for the 12th Player Award.
From Fall River, Mass., Steen was the back bone of the Corsairs' defense and was a key contributer of offense as well. Steen tallied four goals and four assists on the year. She was key in UMassD's first LEC voctory of the season against Castleton with a goal and a helper. She also scored in a 3-2, double overtime, win versus Plymouth and recorded her first multi-goal game of her career in the conference playoffs at Keene State.
The top scorer on the team from Dighton, Mass., Perry finished with 12 goals. She started the year with a bang with a hat trick against Dean and continued to fins the back of the net, scoring in four consecutive games from Sept. 9-18. Perry kept it going with goals in victories against Plymouth State, Southern Maine, at Bridgewater State, Fitchburg State and Keene State.
From Rehoboth, Mass., Amaral had a breakout season with four goals and three assists. Amaral netted her first-career goal at Keene State and finished with a hat trick in a critical, 3-2, win over Framingham State. She also had assists against Castleton, Plymouth State and at Bridgewater State.
Earning the 12th Player Award was Dias. From Fall River, Mass., Dias was second on the team with seven goals with four assists. She notched a hat trick against Dean and had two more goals against Castleton. Dias finished with a score and an assist in a win versus Southern Maine and scored at Eastern Connecticut.
