Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Corsair offense, led by junior Delaney Burns's (Wayne, N.J.) hat trick, remained hot on Tuesday, as UMass Dartmouth Field Hockey downed Clark (Mass.) 5-0 in non-conference action.

How it Happened
Sophomore Mary Brown (Leicester, Mass.) started the scoring for the Corsairs, receiving the outlet pass and breaking away from the Clark defense to finish by maneuvering around goalkeeper, giving UMass Dartmouth the early lead 4:32 into the game.
Less than a minute later, Burns potted her fifth goal of the season, putting in the rebound off the initial save from the Clark goalie.
In the 21st minute, junior Erin Kish (Littleton, Mass.) rifled a free position shot and was redirected into the back of the cage off the stick of Burns to make it 3-0.
Burns made it a 4-0 Corsairs lead when she once again redirected the shot from sophomore Ciara Anderson (Medway, Mass.) in the 49th minute of play to finish off the hat-trick. The Corsairs then finished off the Cougars in the 65th minute when junior Haley Donahay (Cranston, R.I.) tipped the ball past the keeper off a penalty corner.
Inside the Numbers
- Senior Sam Brun (Dighton, Mass.) captured her second win on the season in goal, but again didn't need to make a save. With the victory, Brun registered her first collegiate shutout.
- Sophomore Dani Michaud (Providence, R.I.) took the loss for Clark, after making a pair of saves on the evening.
- UMass Dartmouth outshot the Cougars 9-3, and barely edged out the home team in penalty corners, 5-4.
- The Corsairs have won the last 10 out of the last 11 matchups against Clark, with the last loss dating back to 2011.
- The last time the Corsairs offense score 14 combined goals in back-to-back games was in September of 2006. UMass Dartmouth scored 10 against Regis and followed with four against MIT.
