In her four-year collegiate tennis career, UMass Dartmouth's Mary Bourque (UMD 2001) was part of three Little East Conference championship teams, while capturing a total of six out of eight possible individual championship honors. In the two LEC championship events that she didn't win, Bourque was runner-up at top-flight singles and a teammate in the doubles championship match. In 1999, the Corsair co-captain capped her outstanding career by posting a perfect 8-0 record in LEC Championship competition. Bourque captured the No. 1 singles championship with an easy, straight-set 6-0, 6-1 victory to raise the individual championship trophy at the LEC tournament. During four seasons with Corsair Hall of Fame Coach Warren Preti, Bourque's six LEC titles included: No. 4 singles and third-flight doubles in 1996; top-flight doubles in 1997; No. 3 singles and top-flight doubles in 1998; and top-flight singles in 1999.
