In four seasons with the UMass Dartmouth men's basketball team Nick Cecilio's (UMD '02) teams appeared in two NCAA Tournaments and a New England ECAC Tournament, while also leaving his own mark in the Corsair record books. Cecilio finished his career as the 12th-leading scorer in program history (1,561 points), and is third in all-time career rebounds with 843. During his senior season of 2000-01, he averaged 16.6 points and 9.62 rebounds per game on a 25-3 Corsair team which qualified for the NCAA Tournament and reached the Sweet 16 round.  Cecilio was an All-Little East Conference selection and a Third Team ECAC All-Star, in addition to earning MVP honors at the Hampton Inn Classic and making the All-Tournament team at the Springfield College Naismith Classic that season.  Cecilio was the Little East Conference co-Rookie of the Year following the 1997-98 season. During Cecilio's four-year career, his Corsair teams posted a won-loss record of 77-32, capturing three regular season LEC titles and a pair of LEC Tournament championships as well.
