From the very first day she stepped foot on the pool deck at UMass Dartmouth, she made an immediate impact on the UMass Dartmouth women’s swimming and diving.  With three New England Div. II/III championships as a first-year swimmer, Coache was a key contributor to a UMass Dartmouth team that finished second in the New England meet in her first season. By the time she was finished, Coache assembled an incredible record of accomplishment including 10 Little East Conference championships and another 6 New England titles to her credit. Coache sparked the Corsairs to a pair of LEC titles and two-second place finishes at New Englands.  Her LEC career included going undefeated in the 100-yard butterfly and 100 yard freestyle.  In addition to individual titles, she was a two-time LEC Champion in the 200 yard relay. She was undefeated at New Englands in the 50 yard and 100 yard butterfly and was a member of two school-record setting relay teams during her freshman year, with both records still standing. In her junior season she qualified for the ECAC Open Championships and placed 12th in the 100 butterfly. “Meaghan’s work ethic and dedication to her sport and her team earned her team captain as a junior and senior. She made an immediate and long-lasting impact on our program," stated head swimming and diving coach Cathy Motta.Â
